in export ...

instead of writing at prompt we create a parfile with every parameter required for export....

and at prompt we mention the parfile and job done...

it just make life simple...

at nomount stage parameter file will be read,,,if it doesnt exist ur database wont be into nomount...default location this file is ORACLEHOME/dbs
